Honor Guard
Through donations from school families, two new flag poles were added on the north end of Cougar Court. Now, Old Glory, the Arizona State Flag, and a new Cougar Flag each fly 30 feet above the students. In addition to the new poles, a Honor Guard has been initiated. To be a member of the Honor Guard, Junior High students must apply, attend an informational meeting and pass an exam with at least a 90%.
F.Y.I. - Ways to show respect for the flag:
- Never let the flag touch the floor or the ground.
- Fly the flag only in the daytime unless properly lit.
- Keep the flag clean.
- Do not use the flag to cover a table or for clothing.
- Fold the flag carefully when you put it away.
