LIQUID SOAP.  DISH SOAP.  BAR SOAPS.

-Soap is mainly used to wash dirt off of things such as your body, dishes, and clothes.
INGREDIENTS:
  • Soap is made of oils and fats, those of which are compounds of a fatty acid and lots of glycerin.
  • When these oils are mixed with an alkali, thay form glycerin and the sodium salt of the fatty acid used.
  • The fatty acids used in soap are found in tallow, grease, fish oils, and vegetable oils.
  • The softness or hardness, as well as how transparent the soap is, depends on the fats and alkalis used.

The major raw materials for soap are fat and alkali, as stated above.  Other substances like water softeners, abrasives, and optical brighteners, are sometimes added.  Using these will allow the soap to obtain certain characteristics in its looks and uses.

MEANING OF THE WORD:
