COMPLIANCE PROCESS

As part of our ongoing mission to ensure the safety of children at all times, all St. Cyril School staff and volunteers must go through background checks and training to be in full compliance with the Diocese of Tucson (DOT) Safe Environment Program before they are able to serve. The process can take between 30-60 days.

There are two components to the compliance process:

  1.       Safe Environment Program (SEP), due every three years.

  2.       Driving Compliance, due every school year (August-May).  Only required for field trip/sports drivers.

Step 1 - How do I become Category A compliant?

  1. Please visit: http://www.diocesetucson.org/human-resources/employment-opportunities/

  2. Scroll down to “School Volunteer Opportunities”

  3. Select Volunteer - “School Family - St. Cyril of Alexandria School (K-8)”

  4. Click “Apply for this position” and “Continue”

  5. Complete everything marked with a *red asterisk*. If the question does not apply to you, write N/A. Do not leave any of these squares blank.

Step 2 - How do I complete the Diocese CMG training?

  1. Diocese of Tucson Safe Environment site is https://tucson.cmgconnect.org/

  2. Follow the registration process and select “St. Cyril of Alexandria School”

  3. Choose the role which is:  HIGH LEVEL VOLUNTEER.

  4. Training includes a video and question and answer section, required forms and acknowledging all the legal notifications.
